Personal Recollections
Introduction
I have many thanks due to AMPS members who made my visit to Auburn so memorable.
To Roy Chow for or inviting me to be a guest speaker at the AMPS 2008 International Armor Modeling Contest and Exhibition, and for building a model of Ballyrashane, a Churchill Mark V, the last tank I crewed in World War Two. See more of her later.
To Patrick Keenan and members of the Chicago Chapter, for electing me as an Honorary Member; for giving me the Chapter's shirt which I wear with pride; for the hospitality afforded me at Applebees and at their social gathering on Friday evening.
To Paul Sengstock and Art Pope (my fellow room-mate) for transporting me to and from Fort Wayne Airport.
Finally to all the modellers who displayed their work on three long tables. They gave me so much pleasure admiring and marvelling at the effort and obvious love each and every one had put into building the models.
Photographs
With so any in my camera from which to chose, for the sake of brevity, deciding which to include on the following pages has not been an easy task. Hopefully, they will bring back pleasant memories to those who were present and enjoyed by those unable to come.
