SUMMARY OF OPERATIONS IN ITALY
August, 1944 - May, 1945.

The report of the Brigade’s operations is divided into four main phases as follows:

Phase I.
The operation for the breaking of the Gothic Line including the capture of Rimini and the forming of a bridgehead over the River Marecchia
(25 August - 21 September 1944).

Phase II.
The advance into the P0 Plain up Route 9 culminating in the capture of Ravenna and the forming of a general line on the River Senio
(11 October 1944 - 12 January 1945).

Phase III.
The holding of the winter line including minor operations in the area south of Lake Comacchio
(12 January - 1 April 1945).

Phase IV.
The offensive across the Rivers Reno and Senio, the forcing of the Argenta Gap and the crossing of the River Po and River Adige
(1 - 30 April 1945).

Each phase consists of a full report on the operations including an introduction & details of planning.
