Prior to the conclusion of the war with Germany it had been decided to reform 254th Indian Armoured Brigade and its component units, 3rd Dragoon Guards, 149th and 150th Regiments Royal Armoured Corps, as a Churchill Tank Brigade.
On June 1945, eighty-five Mark VIIs and three Bridgelayers were shipped to India to re-equip 149th Regiment Royal Armoured Corps. Subsequently an additional two-hundred (including Crocodiles) were delivered to the SEAC Theatre.
Reseach is underway hopefully to find additional information to add to this page.
