The above data, is reproduced from the original for the sake of clarity.
The Tiger used for the penetration tests was one abandoned by the Germans, 20th January, 1943.
The armour piercing ammunition was the best available at the time of the February 1943 test. The result of tests subsequently carried out using later Marks of 6 pounder ammunition and US 75 mm guns are given below.
