1 (.) the operational crossing of R MONTCNE will be
undertaken by 28 Inf Bde with 142 RAC (. ) crossing it is
expected will be between appox the 28 end 21 NORTHINGS
2 (,) the undermentioned preparations for the approaching
R MONTONE crossing will be completed by first light 12
Nov
3 (. ) six Tks in accordance with the programme laid down in
this HQ letter 46/G of 1 Nov will be modified within
limits laid down in para two above
4 (.) Bde REME Coy will carry preparation of the necessary modification ready for fitting forthwith this material on completion to be delivered and fitted to 142 RAC Tks in situ
5 (.) Two Welding Teams will be despatched to 142 RAC first
thing 11 Nov (.) first team to be provided by Bde REME
Coy second team to provided by withdrawing the one at
present working with 51 R Tks
6 (.) 25 Tk Bde Tp RE will be responsible for fitting the
fascines to the Tks and must take every opportunity in
time available to train for this purpose
7 (.) Fascines will be supplied by CE 5 Corps and will be
collected by Bde RASC tpt and delivered to assembly area
under orders of “G” 25 Tk Bde
8 (.) ‘AQ” 25 Tk Bde will obtain the necessary rope for securing of fascines to be delivered to 25 Tk Bde Tp RE at earliest within limits of time period referred to in para two above
9 (.) Fascines after operational employment will be dumped centrally as near to 5 Corps axis as is practical and locn advised to ‘AQ’ 25 Tk Bde (.) info will then be passed to CE 5 Corps to enable collection to be effected
10 (.) in connection with forgoing op 142 RAC will have Recce Parties briefed for reccc of approaches to R MONTCNE for employment during night 11/12 Nov subject to ops permitting
