The Maple Leaf of Canada was awarded to the Regiment after the breaking of the Adolph Hitler Line, Italy
May 23, 1944. Although not a personal honour, the small silver Maple Leaf, that was worn on the right arm below the NIH shoulder flash, was a source of great pride to all those who fought in that battle.
The size of the Maple Leaf can be judged in relationship to the Italian Star ribbon.
