World War One - 1915 Star Recipients

1914-1915 Star

The medal has exactly the same pattern as the 1914 Star with the exception of the scroll which is of a different design. Awarded to all those who saw service in a theatre of war between 5th August 1914 and 31st December 1915.

Issued under Army Order 20 of 1918, approved by His Majesty King George V, all personnel not already awarded the 1914 Star were eligible.

Below is a listing of officers of the North Irish Horse who were awarded Stars. Dates in the 'Landed' column are those of disembarking in Belgium/France. On original documents all the dates carry the suffix (1) indicating the Theatre of War, in which the recipients fought, was France and Flanders.
