One Officer, one NCO and six ORs were captured during the fighting in Tunisia.
None of the Regiment suffered a similar fate during the Italian Campaign.
Wednesday, 3rd March 1943 - Hunt's Gap, Tunisia
Lt J.A.Ballantyne 'A' Squadron, posted to Regiment 27th March 1942. After evacuating his tank (disabled by a mine) he was wounded in the head by
mortar fire. Subsequently, the Lieutenant and the other members of his crew,
L/Cpl McKee, Tprs Armstrong, Robbins and Ilkes, were captured by the enemy.
